BEACH BUMS.. and beach bumps!!

BEACHES
are favorite destinations of the young and old,  rich and poor and happy and sad folks. We go to the beach to DE-STRESS from week long toil.

MONKEYBusiness
is my daily comic strip published by the edgeDAVAO.
THIS strip revolves around the life of MUCH OPINIONATED monkey and a scheming turtle OF FEW WORDS ( if he's a man, he would appropriately be described as man of few words). The third character is a nameless worm which is the PUNCHER because of its" barby" punchlines and nice quotes...

TAX THE RICH and spare the poor...

Where is the fun here?
IN THE PHILIPPINES, THE RICH GETS RICHER
while the poor gets poorer...

QUO VADIS graduates

TIPS to new graduates:

Seek and you shall find.
Patience is a virtue.
But like a driver, set your eyes five cars ahead.
That way, you can be sure you'll reach your destination.

NO WAY OUT OF THIS NO PERMIT NO EXAM?

NO PERMIT NO EXAM.
The death of the U. P student who was advised to take a "leave from school" because she was not able to comply her requirements for tuition exemption was an eye opener for the public (students, parents and school administrators ) to muse.

A fellow worker said, "'wag pilit ang pag-paaral ng anak sa isang school na mahal
ang tuition kung di naman kayang magbayad ng tuition."
Hence, the consequence.
Suicide.
This is a very valid comment.

But who can't blame parents and learners themselves to seek for better schools and rare chances to get quality education despite financial restraints. Getting quality education by performing good in school is like being in a battle and never giving up up to the last breath just to win the war.

"Ang pagpupumilit ng pamilya ng U.P student ay isang pakikipaglaban sa realidad na mahirap talagang mapanalunan kung mahina lang ang iyong kalooban." Pero sila ay lumaban.
At ito ay katapangan.

The end may have not justified the means.
They fought to the last breath... and did not simply resign to an idea that
'wag daw ipilit ang pag-paaral ng anak sa isang school na mahal ang tuition kung di naman kayang magbayad ng tuition." dahil alam nila na...

 ito ay salungat ng katapangan.

PLEASE INCLUDE THE BUSINESSMEN!!!!!!

IT IS OKAY
to collect tax from the people as long as it goes back (TO PEOPLE) in the forms of good and fair services. Unfortunately in our country, they are siphoned and converted into PORK BARRELS for the few pigs... i mean...people who chose to be elected.
IT IS NOT OKAY
to collect 32 percent tax from the middle class earners and spoil those rich investors with tax shields/incentives for reasons that they provide jobs to the middle class earners who are being heavily taxed by this government through its ZACCHAEUS. the B_I_R.
WHO IS ZACCHAEUS?
As a chief tax collector for the vicinity of Jericho, Zacchaeus was an employee of the Roman Empire. Under the Roman system, men bid on those positions, pledging to raise a certain amount of money. Anything they raised over that amount was their personal profit. Luke says Zacchaeus was a wealthy man, so he must have extorted a great deal from the people and encouraged his subordinates to do so as well.
Jesus was passing through Jericho one day, but because Zacchaeus was a short man, he could not see over the crowd. He ran ahead and climbed a sycamore tree to get a better view. Jesus, looking up and seeing him, told Zacchaeus to come down because he would stay at his house.
The crowd, however, muttered that Jesus would be socializing with a sinner. Jews hated tax collectors because they were dishonest tools of the oppressive Roman government.
